Even though Barcelona had already won La Liga prior to this Clásico, this match still packed plenty of punch! Suarez opened the scoring. Ronaldo scored. This is Ronaldo’s 18th Clásico goal putting him on level with Alfredo Di Stefano for the 2nd most Clásico goals of all time! Messi and Bale score! Barcelona holds on to their 35th-match unbeaten streak in La Liga.

Los Blancos had already won La Liga, so according to tradition Barcelona had to form a guard of honor or “pasillo.” This meant that before kickoff, Barcelona had to applaud the Madrid players as they came onto the pitch. Icons Xavi and Puyol have said that this was one of the most humiliating experiences of their lives.
