From a dream in the stands to one of the most trusted U.S.-based concierge El Clásico travel experiences.
The story of El Clásico Trips began in March 2007, when I traveled to Barcelona for my first Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona match.
My wife, Regina, had worked in the 1990s for Spain travel consolidator Petrabax, so she planned the flights, hotel and even the restaurants. There was only one problem: we didn’t have match tickets.
With help from our hotel concierge, a local contact and a little bit of luck, our group eventually climbed into a Sprinter van, headed to Camp Nou and arrived with tickets in hand.
What followed was unforgettable: the match, Barcelona, the food, the friendships and the feeling of experiencing El Clásico in person.
We traveled with a small group of childhood friends and family. We enjoyed it so much that we promised to return every year. That quickly became twice a season, once in Barcelona and once in Madrid.
Before long, friends began asking us how they could experience El Clásico too.
What began as a personal tradition gradually evolved into something much bigger. After years of helping friends and travelers with tickets and planning, El Clásico Trips officially became a company in 2016, built on nearly a decade of firsthand El Clásico travel experience.
Today, we help travelers from across the United States, Latin America and around the world experience El Clásico with the same attention and care that started with those first trips among family and friends.

Our Family-First Standard
From the beginning, Regina established one rule that still guides everything we do:
“We will never recommend a hotel, restaurant or service where we wouldn’t take our own family.”

We are not trying to be the cheapest way to attend El Clásico.

We also offer an ECT Payment Plan with no interest and no ECT service fees. Payments made toward your package remain refundable until airfare is issued.

I bring decades of experience in marketing, client service and relationship-building. Regina brings her travel background, attention to detail, hospitality instincts and an uncompromising standard for quality.
Together, we have built ECT around something that is difficult to reproduce with an anonymous booking platform: personal relationships, firsthand experience and someone you can actually call when you need help.
That human element has become one of the most important parts of the El Clásico Trips experience.
A Piece of El Clásico History
I was at Camp Nou on March 10, 2007, when a 19-year-old Lionel Messi scored a hat trick in the unforgettable 3–3 draw against Real Madrid.
It was my first El Clásico.
I had no idea that night would eventually help inspire a business dedicated to helping other football fans experience the same rivalry in person.
